History of St Anne's Society
The Ladies of St Anne's Society was formed in February of 1952 by a group of forward thinking ladies. Their mission was to unite all the women of the Parish in a bond of fellowship for the promotion of religious, intellectual interests, social work. We started out at the Church of Transfiguration and upon completion of our present Church "The Exaltation of the Holy Cross" in 1967, we moved over to continue our work. With over 56 years of dedicated service we have successfully accomplished our goal. We are a diverse group that has through hard work, prayer and dedication become a family of sisters. Every venture be it fundraising for charities, praying with each other, serving and preparing dinners, making pyrohy or cabbage rolls, assisting our priest at liturgies or just enjoying each other has had many lasting memories for all involved.
We continue to assist in any way necessary and are always looking for ways to promote our society. Our doors are always open to any women of our Parish who are wanting to become part of our family.
